This is an authentic izayaka located in downtown, toronto(church street). It does not take any reservations and opens at 5pm - 12am everyday except for sat&sun which opens at 4pm. Once you step into the Gu izayaka, you'll be welcomed by all the staffs in the izayaka. Everyone there is very friendly, enthusiastic, passionate, and japanese! Every dish on the menu is reasonably priced and worth to try. If you don't know what to order , don't hesitate to ask your server as he/she is more than willing to recommend some of their popular dishes to you. Besides the usuals on the menu, they do have a separate specials menu that offers seasonal dishes and drinks. I heard that their sake is very good and they are served in a bamboo. I personally recommend  Kakimayo and Salmon Tataki. I'm sure you'll be impressed that none of their dishes are over $10. This is definitely a place you should really try in Toronto because they are not going to disappoint you. When you get the bill , they also give you some frozen grapes as an after-meal treat. Last but not least, you'll be thanked loudly by all of the staffs in the izayaka when you leave. The only downside of it is that you won't be able to find sushi on the menu.
