Santouka doesn't take any reservations, so be ready to line up outside for at least 15 minutes!
Ramen starts from $10 up
You get to sit by the open kitchen to see the chef slicing the pork and preparing the soup base!
Simmered pork cheek was very tender!!! I loved the meat but the soup was too salty for me, I got the miso soup base.
Santouka is actually very close to my school (Ryerson University), it only took me about 5 minutes to walk from my class to Santouka. Their bowls seem to be a lot smaller than the ones other ramen place serve. Don't judge by the size of the bowl, the portion is just right for one person. I could barely finish my bowl, and my friend suggested to try out the dry noodles in my next visit. This was the most expensive ramen I've tried in Toronto, the bill came up to be $20 for each person (tax & tips included). I fell in love with their pork cheek, I wish I can make it myself, then I can have it everyday without being broke!
