Place: Collingwood Canada - Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain is a beautiful resort location.  It's tastefully decorated room with kichenette and soaker tub.  It's next to the ski hill; it has charming pedestrian village with shops, restuarants and bars with excellent service. 




We stayed 2 nights at this lodge and overall it was a good experience. The 'suite' we stayed in was clean and nicely decorated. The queen bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, and they provided enough pillows and blankets for a family of four.  The room location was perfect as we had a view of the village, the hills, and Plunge, the waterpark.  The lobby, hallway, exercise room and the swimming pool is very well maintain. 


Things to do at Blue Mountain:
1) The Gondola: This is merely a small box that takes you up to the top of the ski hills. Once at the top, you have the option of getting off and walking around or staying on and going back down. We also were given free coupons for this so we tried it. Nothing great although gives you really nice views. Cannot sit inside the ride as there are no seats. Must balance yourself in the ride. Takes about 15min to get up. Once you get off, they have a tractor ride.

2) Scenic Caves: Did not visit them but heard cool things about them.

3) Mountain Biking: Tons of mountain bikers riding down the hill. These guys rent the bikes, helmets, protective gear from the Red Devil shop just below the hill. There is an orientation session if it's your first time. Looks fun as they go throught the trails but some riders go crazy and ride really quick down the hill.

4) Rock Climbing: Mainly kids I noticed on there but it's available in the summer. Looks like fun. Picture enclosed.

5) skiing; snowboarding; and many more....


Overall....

This is a really relaxing place to be.  Bring your family, they will enjoy it.  Also a little tip, bring food as you can make it in your room. Restaurants and shops are expensive.
